Pastoral Care Toolkit
Clergy Care Collective is committed to equipping clergy, seminarians, and lay ministers with tools to offer compassionate, informed, and Christ-centered pastoral care. Our Pastoral Care Toolkit will provide practical resources designed to strengthen ministry with individuals and communities facing mental health challenges, disability, grief, and crisis.
Our toolkit will include:
Guides on Pastoral Approaches to Mental Illness: Recognizing symptoms, making referrals, accompanying individuals with dignity.
Templates for Confidentiality Policies and Safe Ministry Practices: Protecting privacy while offering support.
Sample Liturgies and Prayers: Services of healing, lament, and blessing tailored for those suffering in mind and spirit.
Recommended Reading Lists: Curated books and articles on pastoral theology, trauma-informed ministry, disability theology, and related fields.
Self-Care Resources: Practical tips and worksheets to help ministers guard their own mental health and prevent burnout.
We will update and expand this toolkit. If you have suggestions, contributions, or questions, please contact us. Together, we can build a Church that truly tends the flock with wisdom, courage, and compassion.
